Where Can I Buy a Toy Poodle for a Low Price?

The American Kennel Club, or AKC, along with PuppyFind.com, Next Day Pets and The Poodle Club of America all have online classified advertisements with regards to the sale of toy poodles. Toy poodles are the smallest breed of poodle recognized by the AKC, and specimens are less than 10 inches tall at the shoulders. Breed standards are the same for poodles, miniature poodles and toy poodles, except for height requirements.

AKC has a "Breeder Classified Service" that searches within 50 miles of a zip code, or nationwide, among toy poodle breeders registered with the site. The organization suggests potential buyers ask breeders certain questions with regards to toy poodle puppies.

As of August 2014, PuppyFind.com lists more than 580 classified advertisements for toy poodle puppies. Some puppies have shipping costs included with the price of the dogs. Users can sort puppies by newest advertised, birth date, female/male and ads with photos.

The Poodle Club of America lists more than 240 affiliate clubs in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Affiliate clubs may have information regarding local breeders that sell toy poodles. The club also has a breeder referral program.

Toy poodles originated in France as gun dogs, retrievers and circus performers. Poodles have naturally drooped ears and webbed paws for swimming. Teacup poodles, not officially recognized as a breed, are generally 9 inches or shorter at the shoulder.
