People often name their male kittens according to the cat's coloration, personality or their own preferences. Black kitten names include Smokey, Salem, Halloween, Shadow and Midnight. Tuxedo cats, distinguished by their black and white coloring, often get fancy names like Tuxedo, Gentleman, Felix, Simon, Sir George, Pointdexter or the Great Catsby. Other names for black-and white kittens include Domino, Socks, Boots, Oreo, Bandit and Mittens. Ginger kittens often get named Pumpkin, Jack as in Jack O'Lantern, Cinnamon, Apricat, Carrots, Butterscotch, Curry, Nacho, Fluffernutter or Carmello.
