What Is a Border Collie/sheltie Mix?

Dog Breed Info Center states that a Border Collie and a Shetland Sheepdog, also known as a Sheltie mix, is known as a Border Sheepdog. These dogs take traits from both of their parents, like most hybrid dog breeds do.
The Shetland Sheepdog resembles a Collie but smaller, so naturally the Border Sheepdog has similar features. They can have black, blue merle, white or sable coloring in their fur coats. They are energetic and love to herd other animals. Another resemblance of the parents is the dog's intelligence; Border Sheepdogs typically demonstrate strong task obedience if they are properly trained while young.
