What Do Black Snake Eggs Look Like?
Last Updated Mar 25, 2020 12:35:20 PM ET
The black snake's eggs look like overgrown white beans. Being covered in mud, they look like polished white stones. If they are clean, they can also appear to be some very big grains of rice.
The average size of a black snake egg is a little smaller than a chicken egg, but this one is thinner. There are many different species of black snake. For example, the female black rat snake lays somewhere between 12 and 30 eggs once or twice a year, if the conditions are good. The number of eggs produced is directly related to the size of the female.
