The Bala shark, also referred to as the silver shark, is a fresh water fish that eats most types of fish foods, including frozen, freeze-dried, pellets and vitamin enriched flakes. They also eat smaller fishes, such as neon tetra, when they grow big enough.
Bala sharks are not usually picky and can eat anything fed to them. Their natural diet consist of insects, rotifers, phytoplankton, tiny crustaceans, insect larvae and also live foods. It is an omnivorous species that eats meaty foods as well as vegetables and algae.The Bala sharks are commonly referred to as silver sharks because of the shape of their dorsal fins and their silvery sheen.
