What Is the Average Weight of a Full Grown Black Lab?

Labrador Retriever adults grow to around 65 to 80 pounds for males and 55 to 70 pounds for females. Black is one of the three breed standard colors, along with yellow and chocolate.

Male Labradors can be up to 24.5 inches tall, while females max out roughly at an inch shorter. This breed can live up to 12 years, but it does have the potential for significant health issues, such as hip, elbow and eye problems, that can impact the quality of life. Labs have a low maintenance coat and are very friendly around pets, animals and strangers. They are also very affectionate and playful.
