Amberjack fish has a very mild taste and requires little seasoning when it is prepared. Amberjack fish is comparable to swordfish but is often thicker, more succulent and juicier. Most commonly, it is either grilled, broiled or pan-fried.
As a thick steak, amberjack fish does not dry out easily, which makes it optimal for grilling. A small amount of salt, pepper, lemon and oil is all that is necessary to make this fish taste great. There are a lot of recipes available that add flavor to the fish, but this is not necessary. To choose the best amberjack fish fillet, look for one that is pink with little blood or bruising.
