A slope intercept calculator is a tool used to determine the slope-intercept form of an equation for a line passing through two points on a Cartesian coordinates plane. Other uses include calculation of the slope itself as well as the y-intercept.
Continue ReadingThe slope intercept calculator requires the Cartesian coordinates of two points through which the line passes. One of the vertical coordinates is subtracted from the other and the result is divided by the result of subtracting the analogous horizontal coordinate from the other. This yields the slope of the line. The y-intercept is calculated by the vertical coordinate of the x-intercept from the x-intercept multiplied by the slope. With this information, the line can be described in slope-intercept form.
