The difference between a kite and a rhombus is that a kite does not always have four equal sides or two pairs of parallel sides like a rhombus. A kite is a four-sided shape that has two sets of adjacent sides that have equal lengths. All rhombuses and squares are also kites.
Continue ReadingA kite is one type of four sided figure known as a quadrilateral. As with all quadrilaterals, the sum of its four angles is 360 degrees. The angles of a kite are equal at the points where the two pairs of adjacent sides meet. To calculate the area of a kite, the lengths of its two diagonals are multiplied together and the sum is divided by two.
