An oblique shape is an object that is distorted so that the top is not directly over the bottom. As a result, the object appears to lean at an angle.
It is important to note that an oblique object is not simply tilted to one side or another. The angles formed by its top or bottom and its sides are not right angles. In other words, the top and bottom of the object are not perpendicular to the sides. An oblique shape is essentially the opposite of an ?upright? or ?right? object, which forms right angles where the top and bottom connect to the sides.
