The term interactive graph paper refers to digital graphs available on the Internet or in software that allow the user to draw graphs by hand or input functions with which a program draws the graph. Interactive graph paper is a useful tool in education for classroom lectures.
Students and teachers using interactive graph paper can place coordinates by clicking and can drag from those points to produce lines. Both simple and complex geometric shapes can be created in this fashion. Interactive graph paper may allow the user to zoom in and out, either increasing or decreasing the number of usable coordinates available. Interactive graph paper may also allow the user to determine the size and placement of each axis.
