Whirlpool Gold ovens are top of the line, and are included in Whirlpool's Ice and Stainless collections. As of 2015, customers should expect to pay between $2,449 and $3,099 for a double wall oven, $1,599 and $1,799 for a single wall oven and $1,049 and $1949 for a freestanding range.
The Whirlpool Gold series includes three microwave/wall oven combinations, six double wall ovens, six single wall ovens and nine ranges with single ovens. The ovens and ranges included in Whirlpool's collections can be purchased in white ice, black ice or stainless steel. Gold series ovens and ranges that aren't included in the collection also come in black.
All Whirlpool Gold ovens have an AccuBake temperature management system that uses built-in sensors to monitor the oven temperature and control the cooking elements to produce consistent results. Whirlpool Gold ovens are considered true convection cooking systems because the oven uses a third heating element and a back fan to circulate the heat throughout the oven, which cuts baking time.
Whirlpool Gold series ovens use AquaLift self-clean technology, which uses only water and low heat to remove baked-on goods from the bottom of the oven. The process was designed so that customers could avoid using harsh chemicals, and it takes only 50 minutes.
