Control lizards around a home by eliminating insects, their primary food source, in the area. Spray around the house's foundation with a wide spectrum pesticide. Prevent lizards from squeezing through small openings by repairing holes in screens and caulking open spaces around door sills and cracks in the siding.
A homemade and organic lizard repellent is made by mixing 1 tablespoon of Tabasco sauce into a spray bottle filled with water. Shake the mixture well and spray it into the corners where lizards have been seen. Repeat the process for several days until the lizards move elsewhere. Add garlic essence and onion juice to the mixture for even greater effectiveness.
Place several egg shells in an area where lizards have been spotted. The lizards assume some other organism is nearby, and because of their territorial behavior, they vacate the premises. Several commercial electric repellents are available that emit high frequency sounds that are disturbing to the lizards, but inaudible to humans.
