Place the piece of stained fabric on top of a clean, dry cloth. Dab the stain with rubbing alcohol, and pat the stain with a clean cloth.
Rinse the fabric completely. Soak the stained area with liquid laundry detergent for three to five minutes, and then wash in the hottest water tolerated by the type of fabric.
Before drying, check to ensure the stain was removed. If it was not, repeat the steps above using nail polish remover instead of rubbing alcohol until the stain is gone.
