Before the sneakers are put in the washer, the laces and insoles should be removed. These can be cleaned separately or replaced. The shoes should first be rinsed under running water to remove any caked-on dirt. White sneakers can also be washed by hand with a soft brush and a mild detergent.
Sneakers should never be dried in the clothes dryer. They can be stuffed loosely with white towels or paper to help keep their shape and left to dry in a well-ventilated area. Once the shoes are dry, scuff marks can be touched up with white shoe polish.Learn more about Cleaning
