As of 2013, Honeywell safes came with either a one-, three- or seven-year warranty, depending on the model. A Honeywell website claims the specifics of each warranty is listed on the back page of the operating manual or on the webpage of the model number.
As of 2015, some sample Honeywell safes and fire chests sold by Costco, Target and Home Depot each come with a seven-year limited warranty. Honeywell also has a webpage where individuals can download user manuals for a large variety of fire and security safes. Each manual specifies the length and terms of the manufacturer's warranty for that particular model. Many of the manuals claim that the warranty is not transferable, and a buyer must keep the original sales receipt to provide proof of purchase to obtain warranty service.
