Vilas Furniture Company produced a variety of household furniture pieces including living room chairs, tables and sofas, dining room and kitchen pieces, bedroom furniture and furniture for children's playrooms. Living room pieces include, for example, maple arm-chairs with upholstered seats and backs and two-tier maple end tables. Dining room pieces include dining tables and chairs, china cabinets and hutches, and Vilas also sold complete bedroom sets including head boards, foot boards, dressers and night stands and four-poster beds.
Vilas dining furniture included large tables with multiple leaves and matching chairs as well as smaller maple kitchen tables with two or four chairs. Vilas also produced drop leaf tables and platform rockers. Accent pieces, such as mirrors, entrance sets and telephone chairs with attached side-table, were among the furniture pieces that Vilas produced in Quebec, Canada in the 1950s and 1960s. A typical entrance set includes a solid-maple framed mirror with colonial detailing and a separate, accompanying drawer for attaching "floating" style beneath the mirror. Vilas office furniture includes desks, desk chairs and bookcases. Love seats and foot stools were also among Vilas typical pieces along with a maple wine cabinet, which features a low backboard, three drawers, a two-door cabinet and six wine bottle slots.
All Vilas pieces are colonial in style with turned legs and arms and colonial style cut-outs. Vilas used only two stains, "emberglow" and "candlelight."
