The specific types of repairs covered under the warranty for an electric oven varies depending on brand, type and model. However, most electric oven warranties only cover repairs for mechanical problems that result from a manufacturer's defect in workmanship or materials.
All Bosch electric ovens are covered by the same one-year limited parts and labor warranty, as of 2015. This warranty begins on the date the oven was purchased and is only valid for the original owner. Whirlpool offers a similar one-year limited parts and labor warranty on all its wall ovens and other major appliances. Both Whirlpool and Bosch also guarantee their products to be free from cosmetic defects in workmanship or materials for a period of 30 days.
LG and Wolf both offer a two-year limited parts and labor warranty on many of their electric ovens. In addition to the two-year limited warranty on all parts, Wolf also offers a further five-year limited warranty on some of its lines of electric ovens, including the Wolf M-Series. This five-year warranty only covers mechanical problems that occur in certain components, including the electric heating elements. Additionally, this warranty only covers the cost of replacement parts; the customer is liable for any labor charges.
