Simoniz USA manufactures commercial and industrial automotive and janitorial cleaning products. Product types include disinfectants, floor finishes, waxes, polishes and glass cleaners. Simoniz USA also owns car wash distribution companies and The Simoniz Garage, the largest detailing training center in the United States.
George Simons and Elmer Rich founded The Simons Manufacturing Company, the first American car wax company, in 1910. Elmer Rich and R.J. Rich purchased the company in 1912 and renamed it Simoniz Company. While Simoniz originally focused on car-care products, after the company organized an institutional division in 1954, it began offering products such as floor waxes, cleaners and sponges for large-volume public and business use. After Syndet Products purchased Simoniz in 1997, the company name changed to Simoniz USA.
