The materials typically used for skirting a trailer home are metal, treated wood, fiber cement siding, concrete block, brick, corrugated fiberglass, vinyl panels, and molded high-density polyurethane panels. The molded panels create the look of a rock, stone, brick or wood paneling foundation.
Insulated skirting material for trailer homes is also available. It can be used stand-alone or behind a decorative skirting material. All skirting materials must be supported by a properly installed framing kit as well as top and bottom support. Be sure to include vents and access doors when planning the skirting project and calculating the materials costs.
