Most toe kickspace heaters are powered by electricity. They mount beneath kitchen or utility room cabinets, or even under the stairs, and they provide heat in spaces up to 200 square feet.
Because electric toe kickspace heaters do not have an exposed heating element, it is safe to keep them on or near the floor, even when there are pets and small children in the home. In homes that do not have a central heating system or when a system has difficulty delivering heat to a specific area, a toe kickspace heater is an effective supplement. Some units have a multi voltage heating system to adapt to the electrical system in the desired installation site.
