Clean a whirlpool bathtub by filling the tub with water, and then adding cleaner and bleach to the tub before operating the tub for 10 minutes, and then draining the tub. Rinse the tub by refilling it with cold water and operating it for five minutes before draining again.
Fill the whirlpool tub with hot water until it reaches two inches above the tub’s highest jet. Add four ounces of household bleach and two teaspoons of low-sud dishwasher detergent to the water. Turn the whirlpool function on, and allow it to operate for 10 minutes. For a whirlpool tub with an air bath function, operate both systems together during the process. Drain the tub.
Refill the tub with cold water to rinse. Operate the whirlpool function for five more minutes, and then drain the tub again.
To purge the whirlpool system and remove any lotions, oils and other residues from the tub, fill the tub with hot water. Add four to six tablespoons of low-sud dish detergent to the water along with 24 to 48 ounces of bleach. Run the whirlpool for five to 10 minutes, and then drain the bath. Refill with cold water, allow it to run for five to 10 minutes longer, and then drain it again.
