To replace a heater hose, remove the pressure cap from the radiator and open the drain valve before twisting the hose to remove it. Next, clean the fittings and install the new hose.
Materials required for replacing a heater hose include a new heater hose, a reshaping coil and worm-drive clamp. Before starting, be sure the car is in neutral and the parking brake is on. If the clamps at the end of the hose are difficult to remove, cut them off and replace them with new ones. Using a bucket is recommended when removing the hose, in order to catch the draining liquid.
