When installing EasyHeat Warm Tiles, follow the Tile Council of America's procedures for installation. Begin by laying out the tiles on the subfloor, and be sure to place the thermostat's sensor between the heating cables. Once the cables are in place, spread thin-set mortar or pour self-leveling cement over the top and allow it to dry. Install the floor finish, and complete the electrical connections before programming the thermostat.
A room layout planner is available from EmersonIndustrial.com as a PDF file. The planner features a grid of squares, each of which represents a 3-inch by 3-inch tile. Use the grid to calculate the best tile pattern for the room, as well as to plan the heating cables' layout.
You can install Warm Tiles equipment as part of a stone, ceramic or engineered wood flooring system. Warm Tiles are compatible with plywood, concrete and cement subfloors. Along with heating cables, heating mats and thermostats, a range of accessories is available from Emerson Industrial. Accessories include electrical fault detectors, relay kits, clips, strapping and repair kits.
Emerson Industrial offers a range of documentation for download from its website. Documents include programmable and non-programmable thermostat instructions, product guides, specification sheets and sell sheets.
