Many older mobile homes have wood paneling that has become dull over time. Rubbing walnut oil on paneling gives the wood a more refreshed appearance. Paneling that is sanded and stained yields a different look.
Doorknobs, lighting and plumbing fixtures are relatively easy to replace and can make a big difference in the appearance of a mobile home. For example, rubbed bronze fixtures look more classic and refined than bright nickel or gold fixtures that often come standard on mobile homes. Adding drywall and paint to some rooms can provide some contrast and color to a dull and outdated mobile home.
