Tips for decorating kitchen bay windows include fitting shelves at the bottom of the windows, draping vines around the windows, attaching lace panels and tacking strands of dried vegetables across the windows. You may also decorate a sofa table with jars of seeds and place it near the window.
Fit heavy shelving at the bottom of the window, and place accessories, plants and colored vases on the shelves. Attach hooks on the inner top part of the window, and hang plants in the center. Find grapevine garland or honeysuckle vines together with faux berries from your local craft store. Use a hammer to hit nails at each corner of the window, and arrange the vines and berries loosely from one corner to the other.
Use a needle and thread to string several strands of dried chili peppers and beans, hammer nails on the top and bottom edges of the window, and tie the strands close to each other from nail to nail. Be sure to measure from the top of the window to the windowsill to determine the length of the threads. Put some chairs in the center of the window, and place pillows on them. If there is still space, add a small table with a lamp on top.
