Temperature controls for all GE refrigerators are located in the back of the fresh food compartment, near the top of the compartment or on the dispenser panel. Setting recommendations for specific models are available on the GE Appliances website.
Common recommendations on models with two controls are the settings of 5 and C or 5 and 5 for the refrigerator and freezer, respectively. Single control models are advised to be set on 5, while electronic control models have a 0 and 37 basic setting suggested. After setting the temperature, it is advised to wait 24 hours and to check the temperature of each compartment before adjusting.
