Full Answer

Headboard kits from FoamForYou.com come with a headboard, wood leg struts and screws. This kit does not include fabric. The headboards feature removable leg struts and are designed to fold in half for easy moving and reduced shipping rates.

To construct a headboard from a kit, upholster it first using a hot glue gun, a staple gun or upholstery nail tacks. Place the fabric in the desired position, pull it tightly and staple it to the back of the headboard, at the four corners and in the center of each side. To create a design or decorative effect on the face of the headboard, tack from the center and move outward, pulling the fabric taut in between tacks. To finish, tack the fabric around the back of the headboard, pulling opposite sides tight while placing a quarter-inch staple every 2 inches. Trim away excess fabric, and attach the leg struts after upholstering.
