Types of hand-blown glass ornaments include spun glass, stained glass and mirrored ornaments. Traditional hand-blown glass ornaments are made with molten glass that is gathered at the end of a long, hollow tube. The glass is blown into a bubble and molded into different designs to form the ornament.
Spun glass ornaments are made by heating and stretching colored or clear glass rods that are then stretched out into decorative shapes. Stained glass ornaments are constructed using different metals added to the materials that are used to make the glass. They produce a variety of colors in the glass itself.
Mirrored glass ornaments use a reflective metal, such as gold, silver or aluminum, added to one side to create a surface that is mirrored.
