The most common types of drinking water dispensers are mounted, point of use and bottled. Mounted water dispensers are typically intended for public use, such as drinking fountains in parks, schools and retail stores.
Mounted and point of use dispensers connect directly to a water line to eliminate the need for bottles. Bottled water dispensers require periodic refills, but also offer the convenience of cold, clean water in areas that do not have access to a water line, such as offices. Point of use water dispensers need filters and may also require holding tanks for heating if they offer a hot water option.
