A stuck electric window is a power window in a vehicle that no longer goes up or down when the corresponding buttons are pressed. Wiring problems inside the vehicle door or under the hood are at the root of many electric window malfunctions.
One common cause of a stuck electric window is a blown fuse. Before replacing a faulty fuse in a vehicle, experts advise checking the owner's manual or a wiring diagram to find out which fuse corresponds with the windows. A loose or corroded connector in the vehicle's electrical system also causes electric windows to stick. A voltmeter can pinpoint the location of the faulty connector.
