Stores that sell clearance swimming pools include Walmart, Target and Sears. Generally, pools go on clearance in the fall months; however, prices and availability vary by store.
As of October 2015, Walmart had a variety of clearance swimming pools ranging from an Intex 10-foot by 30-foot metal pool frame set to a Bestway five-foot by 15-foot inflatable above-ground pool. Other clearance pools, designed with children in mind, are the Intex Mermaid Kingdom play center inflatable kids' set and swimming pool and the Intex Inflatable Rainbow Ring water play center. Some of these pools are only available online, but shoppers can use the company's Ship to Store feature.
Target's pools, even on clearance, are generally more expensive than the pools Walmart carries. Some clearance pools include the Banzai Shade 'N' Sun lion inflatable swimming pool and the Intex Whale Spray kids' pool. Target also offers other incentives on these pools such as the opportunity to Save $10 on orders of $75 or more when using Order Pickup as of 2015, notes Target.com.
Sears sells a variety of pools online and in its stores. Prices vary from $19 for a 60-inch-round wading pool to over $2,300 for a 12-foot by 24-foot aboveground pool. Sears periodically lists some of its pools on clearance, and many styles may be purchased in-store.
