There are numerous stores that sell GE water heaters, as of 2015, including Lowe's, Sears and Amazon. GE also has a function on its website that allows customers to search for dealers in their area, which can be found under the Where to Buy tab.
GE produces only one model of water heater, as of February 2015: the 50-gallon GeoSpring Hybrid Electric Heat Pump Water Heater. However, the company plans on releasing a larger 80-gallon version of the GeoSpring water heater in April 2015.
The 50-gallon version of the GeoSpring water heater is Energy Star rated, and is assembled in Louisville, Kentucky, which is also where the 80-gallon models are to be assembled. The hybrid GeoSpring water heaters are rated to be 67 percent more efficient than a standard electric water heater, which adds up to an average savings of $365 per year on a home's utility bills. Although it is a hybrid heater, the GeoSpring still uses the same water and electric connections as a normal water heater, which ensures that installation is both quick and simple.
GE's suggested price for the 50-gallon GeoSpring water heater is $1,200, as of February 2015, which is quite close to what the heater is listed for by most retailers. GE has backed up the GeoSpring water heater with a 10- year limited warranty on all parts.
