German-made appliances tend to rank among the highest in consumer ratings on a variety of reports and review websites. They have a reputation for intelligent, innovative design choices and a reliability that is recognized by consumers the world over.
According to a report by Which? magazine in 2012 that surveyed almost 15,000 people in their largest survey of domestic appliances in ten years, German appliances consistently scored among the top reviewed products overall. The same report names German upright vacuum cleaners, cylinder vacuum cleaners, washing machines, tumble dryers, washer dryers, fridges, fridge-freezers, dishwashers, built-in ovens and free-standing ovens ranking as the best brands available in almost any market.
Miele, Bosch, Neff, Sebo and AEG are generally referred to as some of the best appliance manufacturers in the world, and this is due in no small part to their effective strategies of building products that are meant to last for the long-term. Competitive pricing is also more common for these appliances as more and more German companies are manufacturing their appliances in the U.S. as opposed to facing the expensive task of shipping large products overseas, allowing them to bring more of their quality design, build and innovation to the American marketplace.
