As of March 2015, both the GE Appliances website and Sears Home Services website offer repairs for GE dryers. Both websites have online registration as well as a phone number to call if a customer has any questions.
The GE Appliances site offers repair service every day of the week. Monday through Friday, service is available from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m. ET. On weekends, repair services are available from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET. The GE website also offers tools to help customers schedule their repair services online. Customers can then modify their appointment time or change it all together through the online scheduler.
Also with the scheduler are tools to help customers estimate how much a particular repair or service call costs, which depends on a specific customer's location.
Sears Home Services offers much the same in terms of repair options and online scheduling. However, they also let customers know, based on their location, when the next service technician is available. In some cases, a technician could be available the same day. The website for Sears Home Services also lists several common problems with dryers as well as what the most likely cause of a problem is and what needs to be done to fix it. This can give individuals a more accurate measure of what a particular service call could cost. Also, all service calls are backed by a 90-day warranty.
