As of 2015, Robinair produces air conditioner servicing equipment rather than air conditioners. The company has two product divisions: one for automotive air conditioners and the other for residential and business heating, ventilation and air conditioning appliances.
The major product lines in each Robinair division are refrigerant recovery and recycling machines. These are used to drain and safely store liquid refrigerant, as well as recycle it for future use when recharging air conditioning systems. In addition to these products, the company also manufactures and retails air conditioning service accessories such as leak detection monitors, fittings, adapters, gauges, electronic test instruments and thermometers. The company also markets video inspection scopes, used to investigate hoses for possible leaks. The Robinair line of refrigeration service vacuum pumps is recognized globally.
Robinair is a subsidiary brand, along with TIF and Promax, of the Bosch Automotive Service Solutions brand. These brands are owned by the Bosch Group, a global technology and services provider. The multinational conglomerate has over 350 subsidiaries in 60 countries. It generated sales of $61.6 billion in 2013 while employing approximately 281,000 people. The Bosch Group operates in four major business areas: energy and building technology, consumer goods, industrial technology and automotive services.
