As of 2015, service repairs on KitchenAid appliances are done by factory-authorized KitchenAid technicians for any repair that is scheduled through the official KitchenAid service appointment form. Appliances require a purchase receipt to be shown during the service visit for any existing manufacturer's warranty to take effect.
KitchenAid appliances can also be repaired by experienced third party companies, such as Denver Appliance or Turner Appliance. While these third-party companies may be experienced in the repair of KitchenAid appliances, they are generally not factory approved or officially affiliated with KitchenAid. Owners of KitchenAid appliances can also opt into extended service plans that add longer periods of coverage on their products with affiliated service providers.
