To remove a wall oven, turn off the power supply to the oven, slide out the oven doors, unscrew the trim pieces, pull the oven from the wall, and carefully disconnect all electrical wires. Take extreme caution to avoid possible electrocution.
- Disconnect the power
Flip off the circuit breaker at the main switch to avoid electrocution, and tape the breaker to secure it in the off position so no one switches it on. Turn on the oven to make sure that the power is off.
- Remove the oven door and trim pieces
Remove any screws that secure the oven door to the hinges, then pull the door upwards and outwards to slide it from the oven. Unscrew the trim pieces, and set them aside.
- Detach the oven from the wall, and remove the wires
Remove the exterior edge screws to detach the oven from the wall, and slide the oven away in order to access the electric cables. Test the wires again for an electric current with a tester to ensure they are power-free, and cut the wires with wire cutters. Unscrew the cover plate from the electrical box behind the oven, and then disconnect the wires from the oven.
