To remove tea stains, place a white rag underneath the area with the tea stain. Spray a cleaning solution on the stain, and scrub it out using a white rag. Avoid using a colored rag when removing stains since the dyes can transfer onto the fabric you are cleaning.
You need a liquid detergent, glycerin, a spray bottle and a white cloth to perform the task. First, mix a 1/4 cup of the liquid detergent, 1/4 cup of glycerin and 1 1/2 cups of water. Spray the solution on the stain, and start scrubbing the stain from the outside towards the center.
Continue rubbing until the stain is completely removed. If the stain is dry or old, rub the detergent into the stain, and allow the fabric to soak in cold water for 30 minutes. Rinse the clothing thoroughly, and let it dry. If the stain remains, spray the cleaning solution on it, and soak the fabric in warm water for about 10 to 15 minutes.
If the traces of the stain are still visible, apply a stain remover gel or spray, and leave the fabric for about five minutes before washing normally. Launder the item as usual, and repeat the process again until the stain is removed completely.
