Combine 4 tablespoons of baking soda and 1/4 cup of warm water to make a paste. Rub the paste into sweat stains and let sit for two hours. Just before laundering, apply a few drops of laundry detergent to the stain and rub in. Wash as usual.
The same enzymes in meat tenderizer that break down proteins in meats will break down the proteins in sweat stains. Work 1/2 teaspoon of meat tenderizer into sweat stains moistened with water. Let clothing sit for an hour, and then launder normally.
Mix the juice from one lemon with an equal amount of water. Rub the solution into sweat stains and wait an hour. Wash as usual. For tougher stains, put the garment in the sun while the lemon solutions sits.
Combine 1/4 cup each ammonia and water. Dab the mixture onto sweat stains and let it sit for one hour. Launder normally. Remember that ammonia must never be combined with chlorine bleach in order to prevent deadly chemical reactions.
Crush two aspirin and dissolve in 1/2 cup of very hot water. Apply to stain and wait two to four hours. Rub a few drops of laundry detergent into stain, and then wash normally.
