  1. Flush the stain

Use some cold water to flush the stain repeatedly. This doesn't remove the stain, but it does make future steps easier. Repeat this process until the entire stain has been in contact with the cool water.

  2. Soak the stained garment in a cleaning solution

Pour 1 tablespoon of vinegar and 1 quart of water into your container. Add 1/2 teaspoon of laundry detergent to this mix. Allow the solution to settle for a moment before submerging the stained object in the container. Let it sit for 15 minutes.

  3. Rinse the stained object

Take fresh water, and use it to thoroughly rinse off the stained object. Try to get rid of any remnants of the cleaning solution the object was soaking in.

  4. Wash the stained object normally with bleach

Depending on the object that was stained, run it through a regular washing cycle. If the object is bleach-safe, incorporate chlorine bleach into the washing cycle.
