A GE Profile ice maker is removed by first removing the tray and front cover of the unit. Then the screws holding the ice maker are unscrewed, the wiring circuit is disconnected and the connection plug pulled out. Finally, the ice maker is taken out straight from the refrigerator.
When removing a GE Profile ice maker, the refrigerator is first switched off and unplugged. Water supply to the unit is also turned off by turning the shut-off valve clockwise. The connection plug that is present at the back of the ice maker is then pulled apart to disconnect the ice maker completely. Finally, the ice maker is pulled out from the freezer compartment of the GE profile refrigerator while keeping the unit straight.
