After making sure that the Kenmore Series 90 dryer's power cable is disconnected, unscrew the clamp that holds the exhaust hose in place and remove both the clamp and the exhaust hose, then unscrew each of the screws around the edge of the back panel to make the panel able to come loose and be removed. If all of the screws are out and the panel is still not loose, it may be necessary to pry the panel off with a screwdriver.
Before attempting to remove the back panel of a Kenmore Series 90 dryer, it is important to make sure that the dryer's power cable is unplugged and that the dryer is away from the wall in an open area to work. Removing the back panel requires the use of a flathead screwdriver.
- Remove the exhaust hose.
- Remove all the screws on the back panel.
- Remove the panel.
Unscrew and remove the circular clamp that holds the exhaust hose to the dryer. After the clamp is loosened, the hose can be removed from the back panel.
With a flathead screwdriver, unscrew each of the screws around the outside edge of the panel that hold the panel in place. Make sure to put the screws in a bag or safe place so that they can be used to reattach the panel later.
Remove the loosened panel from the rest of the appliance. If all of the screws are out but the panel is still in place, pry open one corner of the panel with a screwdriver until the entire panel loosens and is easy to remove.
