Two free recipes for the Ninja blender include recipes for a strawberry smoothie and butternut squash soup. To make a strawberry smoothie designed specifically for the Ninja blender, add 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, 1 tablespoon fresh mint, 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, 1 tablespoon unsalted sunflower seeds and 3/4 cup pomegranate juice. Also add 1/2 cup coconut water and 1/2 cup ice. Blend until the mixture reaches the desired texture.
To make butternut squash soup, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat, and cook 1 chopped yellow onion in the oil until soft. Add 1 cup raw cashews, and cook for about five minutes. Add 1 peeled and chopped apple, 1 peeled and chopped carrot, 2 pounds cubed butternut squash, 1 teaspoon thyme leaves and 1 bay leaf. Cook for five minutes. Add 4 cups vegetable stock and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Bring soup to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until the butternut squash is soft.
Let the soup cool to room temperature, and add in batches to your blender. Blend until smooth, and return the soup to the saucepan to bring it back to the desired temperature.
