To make organic coconut oil soap, put 12 1/2 ounces of water in a glass bowl, and pour in 4 3/4 ounces of lye. Let the mixture sit until it is clear. Place 33 ounces of coconut oil in a saucepan, and heat to 130 F. Put the coconut oil and lye mixture in a crock pot on low heat. Cover, and cook the mixture for up to one hour, spoon it into molds, and let it harden.
Alternatively, make homemade oatmeal soap by melting 8 cubes of Goat's Milk Soap Suspension Formula in the microwave. Add 40 drops of sweet almond oil extract to the melted soap. For a soap with a stronger scent, add more drops of oil. Add 1/4 cup of lightly blended oatmeal to the mixture. Mix the ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl, and then spoon the mixture into soap molds.
Make an herbal citrus soap by melting glycerin soap in a microwave-safe bowl. While the soap is melting, cut the herbs, and zest the citrus peels. For each cup of soap, prepare one tablespoon of additives. Once the glycerin melts, add the herbs and citrus, then pour into molds. Let the full molds set for an hour, then place in a freezer for another three hours so the soap comes out of the molds neatly.
