To make the mixture, use 1/2 cup of sugar, 1 1/2 tablespoons of Borax and 1 1/2 cups of warm water. Mix these ingredients together until they are combined and the Borax is dissolved.
Dip cotton balls or paper towel into the mixture, and then place the soaked item into a jar lid or other shallow container, pouring a little bit of the mixture on top to ensure the item is soaked through. Place the mixture in areas where ants are active. Allow the ants to eat freely. This method of ant control takes a few days to work.
Seal any unused mixture in a jar for future needs if desired. Clearly label the jar with the contents and keep out of reach of children. If possible, notice where ants are coming in and use a sealant to seal up any cracks and crevices, effectively sealing them out and preventing future infestations.Learn more about Invasive Insects
