According to a J.D. Power 2014 paint satisfaction study, Benjamin Moore paint is the best-rated interior paint. A Good Housekeeping Research Institute study on interior paints gave the highest marks to Benjamin Moore Aura Paint, Sherwin Williams SuperPaint and Benjamin Moore Regal Select Paint.
Ratings for interior paints are based on customer satisfaction surveys and paint studies done by independent consumer product research companies. Paints are evaluated on features such as ease of application, coverage area, amounts of VOCs (volatile organic compounds), drying time, stain resistance, durability, price and overall appearance. Most consumers rated ease of application as the most important feature in an interior paint.
