Pinnacle Products International was founded in 1998 in Yardley, Pennsylvania, and has since expanded to include distribution points in Europe as well as North America. In addition to its various heaters, Protemp also produces high-velocity fans and high-capacity fans, but kerosene forced-air heaters are still the cornerstone of the company. As well as Protemp heaters, the company also produces fans, heaters and other products under a number of other brand names, including Remington, Heatstream and Master. Pinnacle also has a licensing agreement with Stanley Black and Decker to distribute its products throughout Europe.

As of 2015, Pinnacle sells heaters through its Protemp International brand in 10 European countries, including Germany, Greece, Russia, Spain and the United Kingdom. Its products are also available in the Netherlands, Portugal, France, Italy and Sweden. Protemp does not sell kerosene forced-air heaters in Europe and has instead replaced them with paraffin forced-air heaters. The company also sells mobile infrared cabinet heaters exclusively in Europe.
