Polyester fiberglass resin is a polyester resin that has been reinforced with fiberglass. These types of resins are often used in walls that need to be cleaned quickly.
Polyester resins are durable, but they are not recommended for any structural work on their own, as they are not the strongest of the different types of resin; this is why it is often reinforced with fiberglass. Polyester resin requires a peroxide solution to set and bond together. However, polyester resins are thermosetting, so using an excessive amount of the peroxide solution can cause damage, charring, or in serious cases, ignition of the resin.
