Full Answer

Alliums will grow in USDA hardiness zones 3 through 9. They are low maintenance, easy to grow perennials that come in a wide variety of colors. Alliums are also known as ornamental onions. They'll bloom spring to fall, depending on the plants selected for propagation. Deer especially do not like the taste of these, so there is little concern that they will be eaten.
